I am a machine learning engineer with a full-stack web development background and a passion for understanding how things work. I spent nearly a decade building web applications end-to-end before transitioning into the AI field almost five years ago—first as a data scientist, and later as a machine learning engineer.
I started this blog for several reasons. First, many people I know use interesting tools that we might casually discuss, but I suspect many tools remain unmentioned 1. Hopefully, some of my posts will encourage more frequent, intentional discussions about them.
Second, since I began my first data-related role, I have observed how diverse people’s academic and professional backgrounds are—and how this shapes their skill sets and their expertise. Recognising this diversity, I realised that some knowledge I take for granted could be new or valuable to others. My aim is to write posts that help readers grasp key concepts and identify areas worth exploring.
A personal goal is to improve my writing skills while practising simplifying complex ideas to make them more accessible.
Lastly, I often forget solutions to problems I solve unless I document them. I hope that this blog will motivate me to capture details of problems and their solutions as I progress. Additionally, by sharing these posts rather than keeping notes to myself, I aim to help others who may face similar challenges.

Do average people suggest a linux distros or new tools in casual conversations? That would be weird, right? ↩︎
